Nucleic Acid Stains

A long period of time, ethidium bromide has been used as standard dye for staining of nucleic acids. Although today EtBr is considered to be mutagenic and carcinogenic, is has persisted in some laboratories as a DNA-intercalating substance, because it is supposed to be reliable and sensitive.

With our MIDORI Green dye product family, we offer green fluorescent stain for the visualization of DNA and RNA in agarose gels which is ultra-sensitive and safe (no risk for the scientist and no damage of the DNA).
