I am attaching the experiments we have done using the Kapa 2G Fast polymerase. We are very satisfied of this enzyme. In particular we appreciated the speed of the reaction (40 minutes!), but also the high product yield. Microsatellite analysis resulted so intense to need a dilution before loading to the automatic sequencer. 2) Kapa 2G Fast for diagnostics
The same lab sent us some result for the diagnosis of Chorea Huntington huntington-disease/ and Ataxia (SCA) Friedreichs-ataxia-spinocerebellar-ataxia-sca/ so we hope you can use these results to convince your custmers as well. It is important to mention that KAPA2G Fast can save a lot of time and this is one of the decisionmakers especially for clinical labs.

3) Comparison of different Probe kits for QPCR experiments:

Conclusion:
Using the original master mix the E.coli DNA contribution from the master mix dominates up to log concentration = -4. Using the KAPA master mix quantification can be performed accurately down to log concentration -7. Sensitivity using the KAPA master mix is significantly better, as the limit of quantification can be validated 1000 x lower using the KAPA master mix!

4) Kapa HIFI and HIFI Hot Start

The KAPA Hifi and KAPA Hifi Hotstart DNA Polymerases are really amazing! At first, I and my lab mate hesitate to use these products since we are not familiar with it and we are afraid to take the risk considering that we just have few DNA samples and a limited time to finish our work. However, our lack of confidence to these products leads us to be delayed. We have used Hifi DNA Polymerases from some renowned companies like Invitrogen, Promega, Roche and Stratagene for a long period of time but we never got such outstanding result. Hifi DNA Polymerases from KAPA were able to amplify our desired fragment up to 9Kb. The bands produced were so intense and there were no extra or any unspecific bands. Furthermore, these DNA Polymerases need no optimization. This is excellent, making PCR easier, more interesting and exciting!

5) Updated flier
Kapa Biosystems launched a new overview flier which is very nice in order to explain their technology platform. We will print this flier within the next 2 weeks, so please let us know how many copies you need. 6) New WEBpage , ISO9001 certified
Dear Distributors,
I have pleasure in announcing the launch this morning of KAPA Biosystems new website www.kapabiosystems.com which has some enhanced search features and is more user friendly. The distributor page is still a work in progress so please do not panic if your information is not there or is incomplete, this will be fixed this week.
I am also happy to announce that we complete our certification audit last week for ISO9001-2008 and were informed by our external auditors that we passed the audit without problem and that they would be issuing the certificate within a month. We will be issuing a Press Release on this subject when we receive the actual documentation.

7) New products in the pipeline - next generation sequencing and some new master mixes

Dear Distributors, as the majority of you know KAPA Biosystems views the Next Generation Sequencing field as a major opportunity area for existing Kapa products as well as new products currently under design and development, so in this respect we can provide an overview of a Trends report that was recently published which you might find educational and helpful as you venture into this lucrative market.I would strongly recommend that you start identifying the location and models of Next Gen Sequencers in your territory, as this will accelerate the introduction of the new products that we expect to launch in the last quarter of 2009.

Furthermore we would like to let you know that we will launch the following products soon:

Launch of KAPA2G Robust HotStart ReadyMix and KAPA HiFi HotStart ReadyMix. These products are being developed primarily to support the launch of our Single Protocol PCR campaign focusing on genetic testing labs.
