this week it is our first week after a wonderful vacation in South Africa and we are happy that our business works well, even after a 2 week break.

In the meantime we have got some valuable information for you and so it is one of my first duties to update you as best as possible.

1) First of all we need your help in regard to the TAQ MAN Probe kit samples:

KAPA is interested in receiving feedback from the market to the numerous samples of the New KAPA Probe Fast Kits that were dispatched to you in June and July.Can you please forward any responses positive or negative to my attention as soon as possible?

2) Shelf life of the SYBR kits:

Many of you asked us about shelf life of the SYBR kits becaseu it is not printed on the boxes. Ron McEwan sent me a message and told me that Kapa Biosystems has an ongoing Product Stability Shelf Life study underway in Cape Town and as we reach milestones for specific products it is our intention to notify you and update the appropriate Product Documentation (Technical Data Sheets) to allow you to notify your customers accordingly.

Such a milestone has recently been reached for the KAPA SYBR Fast product line which previously had a recommended shelf life of 6 months from the date of delivery to the end user; our data has now shown that we can extend this to 12 months from the date of delivery to the end user.

3) Barcoding of Life Projects- sales opportunity - email from RonMcEwan

I have just read an article on the BBC website about the Bar-coding of Life projects that are located throughout the world and as far as know the only location currently using KAPA Biosystems products is in Canada, so it might be worthwhile visiting the links below to try and locate the institute in your territory that could be a good sized opportunity to sell PCR reagents, especially KAPA enzymes like 2GFast and 2GRobust Hot Start and even KAPA Taq Hot Start to replace their existing enzymes

4) Marketing tools - keyword India

we have got some nice quick reference guides for our distributor in India (SAFS lab) and if you like we can send you this information as a PDF file. You can use this file  to introduce this helpful information to customers but also to train your salesforce on what products to offer when they call on customers. 5) DNA testing labs worldwide - email from Ron Mc Ewan

KAPA Biosystems in the US is building some very strong relationships with DNA Testing Labs especially focusing on the use of KAPA2G Robust for developing a Single Protocol PCR solution. 

Our VP of Sales sent me the attached file which contains references to potential customers within your territories who might be open to an introduction to the concept of Single Protocol PCR.
