IDGel has launched a new gel cassette for their product line of ready to use pre cast gels (IDgels). The new cassette has a lot of advantages and benefits for our customers said Piere Sevigny, CEO of IDgel. IDGel™ precast polyacrylamide gels are the only gels truly ready-to-use-right-from-the-box. The gel is slightly colored to clearly mark the wells and ease loading. Furthermore, the cassette can be easily opened just with your fingers.

Our objective is to simplify the work process. Once you complete the electrophoresis process, to free the gel, hold the cassette with both hands, the notched plate towards your direction. Open one side at a time. Press on the larger plate with the thumb and at the same time and pull the notched plate by placing the index finger in the finger grip at the top of the cassette.

Furthermore each gel has a unique embedded identification code for reliable gel tracking.

The gel cassette is strong and sturdy to ensure straight migration and reproducible results, however it has been designed to be easy to open and manipulate.
