Cell freezing medium from Lymphotec

Tokyo, Japan, June 11th, 2007 -

Lymphotec Inc, a manufacturer of a unique cell freezing medium for long term storage of even difficult to handle cell lines today announced that they signed an distribution agreement with Nippon Genetics in Japan. Under the terms of the agreement, Nippon Genetics Europe GmbH received the exclusive distribution rights for Europe.

The cell freezing medium, called Bambanker (http://www.lymphotec.co.jp/) have several features for our customers worldwide, said Mr. Teruaki Sekine (CEO) of Lymphotec. A cell freezing medium which does not require a programmable freezing procedure and guarantees high viability rates, even for sensitive cell lines is something we need for our own research and work, because our company is specialized on the treatment and in vitro activation of lymphocytes and other sensitive cells from patients. Our medium is serum free resulting in very reproducible conditions and no interaction with a cell line.

The market of cell culture media and especially cell freezing media is highly competitive and shows a lot of big players, especially in Europe and the US, Dr. Juergen Luenzer, Managing Director from Nippon Genetics Europe said. But after studying the technical features of this product we were pretty convinced to offer a very interesting product to our customers.

Furthermore our parent company in Japan has five years experience already and the quality of this product is superior. Therefore we are optimistic for the introduction of this product which will take place on August 2007.
